INTERACTIVE VOCABULARY LEARNING FOR STUDENTS

INTERACTIVE VOCABULARY LEARNING FOR STUDENTSAbstract
However, the reality on the ground is far from ideal. Many Indonesian students still struggle with limited vocabulary, which prevents them from expressing themselves effectively, understanding academic texts, and communicating confidently in English. Ironically, these barriers are often not caused by a lack of intelligence or hard work on the part of the students, but rather by an inappropriate approach to vocabulary learning—over-reliance on memorizing dry lists of words, lacking context, meaning, and active student engagement.
This book was born from this intellectual unease. We wholeheartedly believe that vocabulary learning should be a lively, meaningful, and even enjoyable experience—not a torture to be endured with a heavy heart. Vocabulary should be learned in rich contexts, through meaningful interactions, utilizing a variety of learning modalities that suit the diverse learning styles of modern learners.
